Quickbooks works pretty well for the PO's, and I have access setup so that in the event we hire a super, he can log on and only approve PO's for payment, disallowing him access to the rest of the accounting software. The other reason I dont have to worry too much about CO's is because we limit changes after the contract is signed, I'd imagine in your scenario you have a lot more CO's throughout building a custom, especially of your size & finishes. Our subs can log in the construction one, allowing them to see the paperwork for each hosue. I'm currently tracking change orders using this system, with a site setup for sales & another for construction. It's amazing what Sharepoint can handle with very little user knowledge of programming or anything else, allowing you to create forms, store data in databases & such and allow everyone to access it. We also setup a server that uses Microsoft Sharepoint & Project Web Access, so a lot of our other stuff is handled through that.
